“Middle Of Nowhere”

Hi everyone!

I know it’s been quite a while since I have posted.

I’ve been busy traveling the country learning/speaking, finishing up my first book  (you are gonna love it) and celebrating my birthday! (yay me!)

I have alot of new writings coming up in the cue and I promise you won’t be dissapointed. In the meantime, I have to share with you a trailer for an AMAZING film I saw this past weekend. The Movie is called “The Middle of Nowhere” and is directed by Ava Duvernay and distributed by AFFRM .

It’s a familiar story, explored in a manner that so deeply and beautifully humanizes all involved in a way rarely seen for black folks in American cinema. The imagery and directing–well there were several images that you couldn’t help but be moved by. I teared up several times, and the acting was superb. I see clearly why Ava won the Best Director at Sundance. This is a necessary and beautiful film on agency, self definition, love and so much more. #WatchThis
